Why you NEED to add lube to your next hand job

The words “dry handjob” gives me such a visceral response. Dryness has its time and place; like a good glass of pinot grigio, but definitely not a hand job. Best to avoid that friction-induced-flinch and arm yourself with some trusty lube.

Lube isn’t just a helping hand to assist with penetration, it’s an easy way to enhance all of your sexcapades.

… Yes, this is a blog dedicated to hand-jobs.

I know, ‘hand-job’ has a retro feel to it, as well as a lacklustre reputation. There’s a common belief that they lack novelty: “why would I want something I can do by myself?”

But I’m going to have to disagree.

I’m here to bring ye olde hang-job back to life! Moving past the limitations of that up-down motion that you do for 5 minutes before you move onto the next thing on the list, means it can become a main event.

Giving the hand-job an upgrade is all about mindset. Having a cock in your hands can be a powerful position to be in, so don’t feel the need to rush past it. Let that penis-owner know that you’re relishing this hands-on time by: taking pauses and slowing down.

Once you’ve set the tone, lube up. One of my favourite things about Glide is that it has a pop-top lid. Instead of having to vigorously pump a bottle and keep it steady, you can apply the lube directly to the penis. Let’s get to it:

  1. Holding the bottle above the penis and allowing it to slowly drip down is a fun way to play with temperatures, as well as creating anticipation of touch.

  2. Remember to take your time, only start with a finger. Trace one finger from the tip of the penis, all the way to the shaft. Once you have done this a few times, the lube will be spread out nicely.

  3. Then, facing the penis, place your hand around it and massage your thumb up and down the shaft in circular motions. Resist making your grip tight. Focus on experimenting with touch and the experience of giving rather than rushing towards orgasm.

  4. Work towards incorporating both hands. Lock your fingers around the penis and move your hand up and down slowly. Use your thumbs to give the frenulum some well-deserved attention.

  5. Use toys! Toys are a brilliant way to play with various sensations that hands simply can’t provide. Penises love toys too, especially Gwen and Lennon.

  6. ENJOY!

Our hands have around the same amount of nerve ending as our genitals, plus a LOT of touch receptors. It would be a shame not to use them.
